To kick off the launch of the new Judy D Beauty website and blog, I ran a “What Makes Me Feel Beautiful” contest.
I loved reading all of the responses! There was so much positive energy, self care and love of deserving women. I want to thank everyone who submitted such thoughtful entries. We really are a wonderful community of women!
The Contest Prizes
A very elegant clutch purse donated by Judy D Beauty, valued at $120.00
Bonus prize #1
Dana J. Smithers is a certified Law of Attraction trainer and a certified Emotion Code practitioner. She is passionate about helping women. Dana has generously donated the gift of a 30-minute, one-on-one Emotion Code session with her valued at $85.00.
She teaches how to release trapped emotions that are holding you back from achieving the results you want. This is an amazing offer! I am truly grateful to Dana for this fabulous gift.
Please watch Dana’s video and see just a sample of the awesome work she does. I’m sure many of us could benefit from Dana’s coaching.
Bonus prize #2
A 90ml Re-David Orchid OIl Treatment Ultra Nourishing Serum, a professional hair product. This was kindly donated by Katelyn Marples, stylist and owner of Studiokay Salon in Abbotsford B.C., valued at $35.00.
This daily treatment tames and controls even the frizziest and most damaged hair, delivering smoother curls and radiant shine.
The Wonderful Winner
The winner of the contest is Franny King. Instead of keeping the prizes for herself she wanted to donate her prize package, “…to a worthwhile woman. Maybe at a shelter for abused women.”
This kind gesture brought tears to my eyes. I do have a little surprise for Franny as a thank you for her selflessness that I will send along her way.
SARA stands for: Support, Acceptance, Resources, Action.
Their Mission: We are a feminist non-profit society providing safe refuge and community-based resources for women in Mission and Abbotsford. We promote and support women’s efforts to achieve domestic, political and social equality.
They provide hands on help. It is an important cause. I love that Franny suggested it! I will go into greater detail of the work done by the wonderful volunteers at SARA and Fronya’s in a later blog post.
So, yes there was a unique ending to the contest. I am filled with gratitude and humbled by the love displayed by our community of beautiful women. The contest that was well-intentioned, based on giving, blossomed into more than I could have hoped for.
This is due to the kindness and love, which in turn, spread the love.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
